The McCarty Ranch is located in the beautiful French Valley/Temecula area of Southern California, just around the bend from the famous Wine Country of Temecula. We are within one hour of San Diego, Ontario or John Wayne airports.

Even though we are very close to the booming cities of Murrieta, Menifee and Temecula, the Ranch still retains the quiet country atmosphere, clean air, and mild climate that the horses and riders enjoy every day. Expect to find every top quality amenity for your horse. Our two MD brand show barns are equipped with automatic timed lights, automatic waterers and a fly system. All of the stalls have plenty of ventilation and the horses are very happy to be able to see everything that’s going on from inside their stalls!

Our large main arena is 300 x 150 and our smaller one is 150 x 100. We also have a wash rack, round pen and hot walker. All of our staff lives full time on the ranch so there s never an interruption in supervision.

Jim and Roberta McCarty established the McCarty Ranch in 1974, turning professional trainers in 1981. Jim was also a highly respected farrier during the time that they trained horses. At the time of Roberta’s retirement, she was the highest NRHA female professional money earner and had been an NRHA Open Futurity Finalist four times, a record for a woman. Roberta and Jim live in Maui, Hawaii.
